R² began his career as a gaffer working for Oscar-winning DP’s Conrad Hall and Allen Daviau until 2000 when he officially made the transition to Director of Photography himself. Now he splits his time between Paris and Los Angeles, where he has shot four features, countless commercials and music videos for artists like Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Michael Jackson, Metallica, and Elton John.

As a director, he has worked for clients such as Elizabeth Arden and the prestigious Bentley and he has shot for brands such as Gucci, Ferragamo, Armani, Nike, Max Factor, Maybelline etc. — in addition to many personal and professional photography projects. R2’s work shows a singular and modern vision of aesthetic and beauty illustrated most recently by the Buscemi commercial produced by Onirim.
